Review: Mama Feels Good Breastfeeding Top

The SECC Baby and Toddler show is coming up this weekend, and as mentioned in a previous post I have been asked to review a couple of items provided by some of the exhibitors from the show.

So I have been given a breastfeeding top made by Mama Feels Good, supplied by More 4 Mums who will be exhibiting at the show.

A little information from their website:

More 4 Mums is an online store offering great value products for Pregnant and Breastfeeding Mums.  We offer Affordable Maternity & Nursing Bras, Sleepwear and Tops.  There is also an increasing range of lovely products for all new mums and babies.
More 4 mums is a family business  offering great service.  Set up by Lynn Hogg, a mum of 2 young girls over four years when she was looking for a new career that allowed her to care for the children at home.

The top I was given was the Owl Print top, made by Mama Feels Good, who hand screen print their tops.  It has two layers, joined at the shoulder on the inside.  I must admit I was a little confused as to how to use it, but when I looked online and saw this video, it made much more sense!

You lift the top layer, and just pull the bottom layer to the side, over your breast.  As you can see, it's discrete; it only exposes what needs to be exposed.  No podgy belly hanging out, no rushing to cover the rest of you with a scarf.

So far, I have been using the nursing vest tops, with the straps you can unclip, and wearing them underneath normal tops, which can get very warm and quite fussy.  Sometimes the bottom edge of the clip ends up pressed against the baby's face which can be quite uncomfortable and leaves a mark.  When I was shopping for nursing tops, I realised a lot of them double as maternity tops and LOOK like maternity tops.  Also a lot of them are floaty, floral, girly type tops, which I don't like and looked quite matronly.  This top is funky, looks like a normal, every day, non maternity/nursing top, and is really comfortable.

It's £25.99 which is a little pricey, but considering that it's a specialist top, and hand screen printed, it's understandable.

I love the funky owl print, I won't take pictures of me using the top, cos lets be honest, no one wants to see that!! (Please excuse the fat rolls. In my defence, I have just had a baby and the top is a Medium, and I am definitely NOT a medium ;o) ).  Over all, it's a really nice top, it's comfortable, affordable, stylish, and I can see it becoming a staple piece in my wardrobe.  And best of all it's not obviously a breastfeeding top!!

I can't wait to see what other products they have to offer at the Baby and Toddler Show.

*I received this product in exchange for an honest review

  1. Thanks for the review Lesley Ann. I will have a special offer on all the Mama Feels Good tops at the show - they will be only £20 at the show over the weekend.
